New to Couponing, but can't figure out what all the abbreviations mean?
Here is a list of the most used coupon abbreviations to help you out:
BOGO or B1G1F or B1G1 Free = Buy One Get One Free.
CAT or CATALINA = Coupon that prints at the register after purchase, i.e: Walgreens, Kroger
CRT = Cash register tape, coupon that prints in store, i.e: Market Basket or CVS coupon machine
ECB = CVS Extra Care Bucks, printed on your recipet, money back on purchases
Stack = Using a manufacturer coupon together with a store coupon.
IVC = Walgreen’s Instant Value Coupon i.e: from their circular or monthly coupon book
IP = Internet Printable Coupon.
MFG = Manufacturer’s Coupon.
MIR = Mail In Rebate.
OOP = Out of Pocket, in reference to how much you will actually pay at the register.
P&G = Proctor & Gamble Coupon Insert found in the Sunday newspaper.
PEELIE = Coupon that you peel off the package.
Q = Coupon
RP = Red Plum Coupon Insert found in the Sunday newspaper.
RR = Register Rewards.
SS = Smart Source coupon insert found in the Sunday newspaper.
WYB = When You Buy.
BLINKIES are In-store coupons that are located near the product, usually from a red blinking box. I have found these mostly at Kroger and HEB.
